2026 Florida Missing Children's Day

The 2026 Florida Missing Children’s Day (FMCD) Annual Ceremony will be held on Monday, September 14, at 10 AM in Tallahassee and consists of an award ceremony and a Time of Remembrance recognizing families of missing persons. FMCD was established by Florida Statute 683.23.

Event Details

Florida Missing Children's Day (FMCD) has traditionally been held at the Tallahassee Capitol Courtyard. Due to ongoing renovations at the Capitol Building, the event is being held at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum. The entirety of FMCD will take place at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum, including rehearsal, the Florida Association of School Resource Officers' (FASRO) reception, the sponsor breakfast, and the formal ceremony (which includes the award ceremony and Time of Remembrance). Guests will be able to park at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum.


Please RSVP online, by calling 850-410-7016, or by emailing FMCD@fdle.state.fl.us no later than Friday, August 14, 2026. If you are an impacted missing person family, please call FDLE's Mehgen Peoples directly at 850-739-9223 to discuss attendance and participation in the formal ceremony.
