On behalf of the Board of Directors for the Florida Missing Children’s Day Foundation, Inc. (FMCDF), and in conjunction with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse (MEPIC) Advisory Board, we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation for your interest in the FMCDF.
Each year on the second Monday of September, Florida takes the opportunity to remember, recognize and shine a light on those who cannot do so for themselves – more than 3,000 missing and abducted persons who have not made their way home in Florida today – at the Florida Missing Children’s Day (FMCD) ceremony. The 2025 Florida Missing Children's Day ceremony will occur on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum, in Tallahassee, Florida. It is a day in which Florida brings attention to the segment of our population needing the most help from each and every one of us. Awareness, support, and education about our missing are the most important actions we can take in an effort to bring them home.
Florida Missing Children’s Day is also a day in which we salute and recognize those in law enforcement, public safety and general public who made a difference in the fight to locate the missing during the past year. These individuals took the extra step, and sprung into action without regard for their own safety so that a child may be saved and/or a criminal brought to justice. We are encouraged and humbled by both their actions and courage. It is because of these brave people that a child is safe and with their family today or they have provided the answers about what happened to a loved one, bringing a small measure of closure and peace. It is also a day when we provide support and hope to victim families who continue their search for a missing loved one. Our message is simple ---- you are not alone.
Florida Missing Children’s Day is not a state-funded program. It is entirely funded by the FMCDF and requires a lot of hard work and effort by many dedicated individuals. We are grateful for those who contribute so generously to this event and for every government official, legislator, law enforcement officer, citizen and so many others who take the time to be present at the ceremony. It is an extraordinary day and provides such a positive impact in the lives of those who are still searching for their missing loved ones.
We extend an invitation for you to join us by making a contribution to this special event and becoming a part of something very special. *Donations can be made in various ways – financial assistance, in-kind contributions, and through pro-bono assistance. All donations are fully tax-deductible to this non-profit organization. FMCDF's annual report, code of ethics, and 990 confirmation can be found by clicking here.
There is no amount too small to give and we thank every organization and individual in advance for anything they may be able to offer. Together we can make a difference in bringing home those who remain missing. In closing, thank you on behalf of the FMCDF Board of Directors for your support and donation. We hope to see you at the next Annual Florida Missing Children’s Day ceremony. It is a reason to give, a date to save, and the place to be.
Donations can be submitted to FMCD Foundation, PO Box 15822, Tallahassee, FL 32317.
