Florida Missing Children's Day
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse (MEPIC) Advisory Board invite you to attend the Florida Missing Children's Day ceremony on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at the Capitol Plaza in Tallahassee, Florida. Dress for this event is business attire.
The ceremony recognizes law enforcement and citizens who have made tremendous efforts in protecting Florida's children and highlights the need for communities to work together to protect children from victimization. The ceremony also serves as a time of remembrance of Florida's children who have been taken from us and who remain missing.
We have arranged for hotel accommodations at the Doubletree by Hilton Tallahassee for $124.00 a night plus taxes. Please contact the hotel directly at 850-224-5000, to make a reservation under FDLE's Florida Missing Children's Day room block CODE CDTMCD. You may also book by clicking the link here. The room block at this rate will be available until Friday, August 12, 2022, and can be used for Saturday, September 10th, Sunday, September 11th, and Monday, September 12th. You are responsible for your own expenses.
Please be advised that there is limited parking at the Tallahassee Capitol Complex. You may park at Kleman Plaza at 306 S Duval Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301, for an additional fee.
